Thursday, March 6th 2014, “Measurement Standards & Practices in Vietnam” Seminar was co-organized by Cushman & Wakefield (C&W) and the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) in the 29th floor of the iconic Bitexco Financial Tower, Ho Chi Minh city.
In the event, Cushman & Wakefield Vietnam welcomed a total of more than 80 key clients and partners like LangdonSeah, ANZ, Standard Chartered Bank, Bitexo Group, WTP, Parkson, Sumitomo, Ascendas. Besides, the event also drew the attendance of RICS members including CBRE, Savills, JJL, Collier and prestigious media agencies like Vietnam Investment Review, Vietnam Economic Times, FBNC, VITV, VTC10, etc.
In the previous event held in November 2013, a variety of measurement methods brought out the question of which method should be standardized. In this event however, following the local authorities’ decision of removing calculation method based on gross area coming into effect from April 8th 2014, everyone wonders about the impacts of the measurement standard on related parties as well as the ramifications applicable for signed contracts before the effective date.
While offering a forum for the whole related parties to discuss about measurement methods and reveal their own perspectives, Cushman & Wakefield Vietnam took this chance to announce its key personnel changes introducing new General Manager – Mr. Timothy Horton, new National Head of Commercial Agency – Mr. Alex Crane and new National Head of Project Management – Mr. Charles Herman. The event was reflected as informative and useful according to the participants.
