Saturday July 19th 2014, Cushman & Wakefield Vietnam battled it out at the British Business Group Vietnam (BBGV) 1st Inter-company football tournament. The tournament was a success, bringing together 16 teams, all in the aid of charity.

According to Alex Crane, Head of Commercial Agency, and also one of the midfielders, the team “started out a little sluggishly”, resulted in a first match defeat. In true C&W spirit, the team fought hard to draw against Etihad Airways and Giant, then won matches against Arup and Savills landing us in the finals where we met Etihad Airlines again. The game was a 1-1 draw, then there was a tense penalty shootout which ended in sudden death. Huy Truong (Valuer) stepped up and coolly scored and Jonny Tizzard (Head of Valuations) pulls out a superb save to give C&W the victory.

The victory has not only highlighted the great winning together spirit at Cushman & Wakefield in Vietnam, but also marked a contribution of Cushman & Wakefield to the local community. Inter-company football tournament for charity 2014 is inaugurated for the first time by the BBGV in Vietnam. This year, the charity tournament has collected a total of 70 million VND which will be distributed to registered charities through out Vietnam.
